UIT RECREATION: Activities are as Follows:
- May 29 – June 22, 2023. Kids Summer Camp. Ages 9-18 yrs. This will be held Monday through Thursday from 8:30am-4:30pm. Registration deadline is on May 25, 2023.
- Open Coed Summer Basketball League. Starting May 29th through July.
Divisions k-2nd, 3rd-4th, 5th-8th, 9th-12th. League Starts May 29, 2023. Deadline is May 23, 2023.
- June 7 - 8, 2023. Grow Basketball Skills Camp with Ro Wiggins.
- June 30 – July 1, 2023. UIT Recreation 4th of July Softball Tournament.
- July 21 – 22, 2023. 2nd Annual Youth & Teen Basketball Tournament. Youth ages 9-13 yrs old & Teen ages 14-18 yrs old. Entry Fee $150. Deadline is July 12, 2023.

EAGLE VIEW ELEMENTARY: Eagle View Elementary will be having their annual end of the year school pow wow this Wednesday, May 24th at 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. All school royalty, U.B.I.C royalty and tribal royalty are invited to attend and represent. Any students who dance are encouraged to come and participate and any community dancers are also welcome to come and dance. The school pow wow will be held on the west side of the school on the grass closest to the cafeteria side. End of the school year awards assembly is set for this Thursday, May 25th at 9:00 a.m. in the Eagle View auditorium.
REDPINE: Is hosting a Family Bonding Night of bowling as part of the Parents Empowered Champaign on, Tuesday May 23, 2023 from 5:30pm-7:30pm. at the Ute Family Fun Center, this will include bowling and shoe rentals. For more information, you may call 435.725.2834.
UINTAH RIVER HIGH SCHOOL: Graduation is set for May 26, 2023 starting at 10:00am at the Vernal Conference Center.
UTE INDIAN TRIBE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT: Are Now Accepting Fall Semester 2023 Scholarship Applications for UIT/BIA Higher Education for the year… you may stop by the Education for an application. SUMMER SHOOT-OUT OPEN BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT: Held in Ft. Duchesne UT on June 16-17, 2023. It is an 8 player limit. Age 18 years & under – verification required at time of team check in. UTE TRIBE HOUSING PROGRAM: Please be advised all homeowners that are participating in the Tribal Housing Program you are required to have home owner’s insurance. Please provide the Ute Tribe Housing Program with insurance coverage to your homes. Please contact The Housing Program Director Debra Jones if you should have any questions in regards to this matter. UTE TRIBE EDUCATION ENDOWMENT FUND GOLF TOURNAMENT: On June 9th 2023 7:00am Morning Registration & 12:00pm Afternoon Registration at the Roosevelt Municipal Golf Course 1155 Club House Dr, Roosevelt UT 84066. Featuring: Lunch, Mini Games, Live Band, Snacks, Drinks, Libations, Raffle, Players Choice Awards, Tee Box Activities. Details: 4-man Scramble, Shotgun Start $500 per team. UTE LANGUAGE AND TRADITIONS DEPARTMENT: Evening classes will be postponed until further notice we will re-evaluate on a monthly basis. FYI: Fort Duchesne Dump is Temporarily Closed for Renovations from June 4 – 24, 2023. All Tribal members will be able to take all trash waste to the K&K Sanitation Transfer Station in Ballard, At No Cost. Tribal Identification must be present at time of disposal. If you need assistance transporting your waste, please contact Alrita Murray at 435.621.2610.
WATER SYSTEMS: Public Service Announcement to the members of our community due to the demand on UTWS a priority will be used to address the emergencies that are occurring within our communities:

WIOA “WORKFORCE INNOVATION & OPPORTUNITY ACT”: Is up and running. The program is as temporary basis employment program and provides financial support to individuals trying to obtain High School Diploma through UIT Adult Ed Program.
While under program, participants can receive assistances for Childcare and Training expense, if applicable. The program is available to all Native Americans (Ute Indian Tribe, Tribal Descendants, and Other Tribes etc.) if interested contact Rachel Shore at 435-725-4218 or stop by the Human Resource Office to pick up an WIOA application.
EMERGENCY EMPLOYMENT: Is now Accepting applications for the 2023 Laborer Work Pool. Responsibilities: To perform various general or manual labor duties for the Ute Indian Tribe Cultural Events such as Bear Dance, Powwows, & Sundance’s. You must complete application and Submit two forms of I.D. FYI this is a 9-month temporary full-time job position program for Tribal Members only.
