PUBLIC NOTICE: Is hereby given that the Ute Indian Tribe & The Ute Tribe Brand Inspection Department of the Uintah & Ouray Indian Reservation in publishing this notice in regards to the Ute Tribe Brand Inspection Dept. to conduct a Livestock Roundup in the following areas.

  • Randlett & Surrounding Areas
  • Ouray & Surrounding Areas
  • Hill Creek Extension & Surrounding Areas

Under the Livestock Trespass Ordinance 13-002 The Livestock Roundup will take effect after September 5, 2022 if you may have any questions contact Zane Tahguv Brand Inspector Coordinator at 435.823.7003 or Sapianaze LaRose Brand Inspector at 435.823.2470


UTE INDIAN TRIBES COVID RESTRICTION: Per Resolution 22072 all Covid19 restrictions have been lifted, effective immediately including the Mask Mandate. The Mandatory Vaccination Policy is still in place. All individuals conducting business with the Business Committee are required to show proof of vaccination prior to entering Business Committee Chamber. Also by order of the Chairman of the Ute Indian Tribe, Stage I Fire Restriction have been imposed until rescinded. This applies to all land within the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation. UTE TRIBE SENIOR PROGRAM: The deadline date for utilities has been pushed back to September 28, 2022 if you have received a Heat application please fill out and return with September bill and the elder intake as well to update your information file. Also there will be no meals Wednesday September 21 kitchen staff will be out on travel, also no meals on Thursday September 22 due to Tribal Holiday. Don’t forget exercise Mondays and Wednesdays at 2:00 pm at the Senior Center. We are doing a Pest control for homes if you need your home fumigated please call the Center with your name and phone number to contact so we can schedule an appointment. If you should have any questions or ideas, please feel free to contact the Senior Dept at 435-725-4282

DIALYSIS: You are invited to a Dialysis Meeting on September 21st at 1pm. This will be located at the Tribal Auditorium refreshments will be served. For any questions you may contact Jessica Jenkins Tribal Dialysis Advocate at 435.823.2737


  • Pool Party at the Uintah Recreation Center September 30th, 2022. Starting at 5:30pm – 7pm.
  • Mauy Thai on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays sessions from 4-5pm & 5-6pm. All ages are welcome.
  • Meet with a Diabetes Educator First Tuesday of the month from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
  • The Women Infant and Child Program will be every Wednesday from 9am-4pm at painted horse. For information, contact Holly at 435-725-4513 or 435-247-1192.
  • Reminder Gym Use will be available only to those that have been fully vaccinated. Orientation is required so you know how to use the equipment properly. For more information, contact Painted Horse @ 435-725-5040.


UTE TRIBE RECREATION: Announcements are as follows:

  • Basketball Conditioning every Monday and Thursday ages 6-9. Starting September 12th and ending November 3rd, 2022 this will be held at the Whiterocks Gym from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. please bring your own ball.
  • Hocus Pocus 2 Costume Party September 30th, 2022. Come dressed as your favorite Hocus Pocus character, Prizes will be given for the best dressed.
  • Open Co-Ed Basketball Tournament 8 player limit. (age 18+) October 14 & 15, 2022. Entry fee $175 and a $80 deposit is needed to be put on the bracket. Deadline is September 22nd at 4pm.
  • FALL FESTIVAL October 22, 2022 at the Fort Duchesne Gym starting at 10am - 3pm. There will be Bounce Houses, Games and Treats for all the kids, be sure to join us in all the Festivities.

UIT HEALTH EDUCATION: Huntsman Cancer Institute Cancer Screening and Educational Bus will be held September 29th & 30th, 2022. 9:00am – 4:30pm at the Fort Duchesne Community Bldg. Also Food Handler Basics Class at the Whiterocks Community Building on October 14, 2022 if anyone is in need of an updated certification, and there will be medication disposal at the community building from 1:30PM – 4:00PM. EAGLEVIEW ELEMENTARY: Eagle view parents, Ute Tribe Tutor Mentor applications have been sent home if you happen to need another there will be packets at the front office and also down at the Ute Tribe Education Office you may also fill an application out online.

Eagle view is looking for basketball coaches 6th – 8th grade boys and girls you can apply online at www.uintah.net. Eagle view 1st grade classes will be going on a field trip October 12th please make sure permission slips are signed they will be going out a week before the field trip.

INDIAN HEALTH SERVICE: Bring you animals to our Drive Thru Vaccination Clinic Friday & Saturday November 4th & 5th, 2022. This will be located at the Fort Duchesne Community Building.

  • Rabies Vaccine = FREE
  • Bordetella & Distemper Vaccine = $10

Appointments are not required. We CANNOT vaccinate a pet which has ever had an adverse reaction to a vaccine. Cats should be left in carrier until vaccinated. Animals that pose a safety risk to clinic staff will not be served. Contact Paula Morgan at 435.545.7233. with any questions.


RANDLETT COMMUNITY: On Sunday evenings, Narcotic Anonymous Meetings will proceed at 7pm. Anyone in need of a meeting, please feel free to come and join. UTE TRIBE TRANSIT: Motor Pool is sponsoring a Wendover Excursion September 29th leaving from the Ute Plaza @ 10:00 am. returning October 2nd sign up @ Motor Pool 435-722-2245 or 435-823-8880.
