UTE INDIAN TRIBES COVID RESTRICTION: Per Resolution 22-072 all Covid19 restrictions have been lifted, effective immediately including the Mask Mandate. The Mandatory Vaccination Policy is still in place.

All individuals conducting business with the Business Committee are required to show proof of vaccination prior to entering Business Committee Chamber

UTE TRIBE SENIOR PROGRAM The Senior Center is open for Dine in lunch come join us for lunch. Today lunch is Goulash, vegetable, fruit and bread.

We are still delivering meals, please if you are not going to be home call the center to make arrangements for delivery. We would like to get activities going for the elders, come share your ideas. The Shoshone Reunion is approaching elders are getting ready to head to Wyoming for the event next week leaving June 20 returning June 25, 2022. We are still looking for drivers and outreach workers apply at the HR Dept at the Ute Tribal Office.

UTE TRIBE RECREATION announcements are as follows:

- July 7th-9th Local Boys & Girls Co-Ed Youth Basketball Tournament. Age group 9-13 & 14-18. Deadline is June 30th.

- Basketball Camp July 23rd & 24th limited spots available. Kindergarten through 5th Grade will be 10am-12pm Saturday & Sunday. And 6th through 12th Grade will be 1pm-3pm Saturday & Sunday. Deadline sign up is July 15, 2022.

- Utes Football Registration. Age divisions are 3rd-4th, 5th-6th & 7th-8th

Seeking coaches in all age divisions, application are available at the UIT Recreation Office. Parents: If your child/children still have football equipment checked out, equipment must be returned prior to participation. Early Registration applicants will be put in a prize drawing.

- KDC Athletics Wrestling Camp Kaden Campbell is being held June 23-25, 2022. Ages 9 years old & up. Session one will be held at 9am-11am. Session two will be at 12pm-2pm. location will be at the Union High School Wrestling Room. Roosevelt Utah.

- Meet with a Diabetes Educator First Tuesday of the month from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at the Painted Horse Building.

- The Women Infant and Child Program will be every Wednesday from 9am-4pm at painted horse. For more information, contact Holly at 435-725-4513 or 435-247-1192.

The 2022 INTERTRIBAL OPIOID WELLNESS SUMMIT Will take place in Vernal on June 22nd – 24th, 2022. Pre-conference events for first responders will be on June 21st, 2022. For information about participation and sponsorship opportunities, please contact Valentina Sireech at 435-722-1200.

UIT FISH & WILDLIFE: Please be advised that the Ute Indian Tribe Fish and Wildlife Big Game Enhancement. Department is starting a bounty program for Raccoons and Skunks from May 2 - June 30, 2022 or until funding runs out. U&O IHS CLINIC has their vaccination and immunization clinic for all ages every Wednesday at the Wellness Center from 1 to 4pm.  Please call 725-6815 to get on the clinic schedule. From now on all medication prescriptions will need to be picked up and electronically signed for inside the U&O IHS clinic at the pharmacy window. The pharmacy will no longer be able to deliver medications out to the parking lot.

All who enter the IHS Clinic MUST wear a mask covering their mouth and nose.

U&O Wellness Center has a new Public Health Nurse. Eve O’Pray-Nichols, RN, has been working with Diabetic patients at the Wellness Center and is excited to take her knowledge and skills out into the community. Eve has been instrumental in getting the U&O IHS Wellness Center Diabetic Program accredited as a Nationally Recognized Diabetic Education Program

UTE INDIAN HOUSING AUTHORITY has the Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) Program available and now accepting applications for its Homeowner Assistance Fund

LIHEAP to get help with your Water Bill (Water Only) Please contact Lora Garcia LIHEAP/LIHWAP Coordinator at 435.725.4878 or on her cell phone at 435.823.2080 You may also pick up a LIHEAP/LIHWAP application at the Ute Tribal Office at 6964 East 1000 South. Ft. Duchesne Utah in the front foyer.

WATER SYSTEMS Is putting a water restriction in place until further notice. No using culinary water to water lawns or livestock. Also a kindly reminder patrons, DO NOT Flush paper towels, facial tissues, baby wipes, or flushable wipes. Flushing these items will cause issues in the sewer lines and septic tanks. Please only flush toilet paper

ALSO - Trash cans need to be curb side by 7am; homes with two trash cans, place them a foot apart. There are dumpsters in the communities to accommodate larger items. Questions can be directed to Water Systems department by calling 435-725-4922

The ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE PREVENTION (A/SAP) program is now accepting application for Alcohol & Drug Residential Treatment. You may pick up an intake packet or stop by for more information. Question can be directed to Betty Lee at 435-722-9906 or 435-725-2833.

- Intake/Assessments are done on Thursdays from “7am to 10am & 1pm to 3pm” Intake/Assessments take approximately 2 hours.

UIT EDUCATION DEPARTMENT will be hosting an Open House for USU Uintah Basin on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, 1:30pm - 5pm. All are welcome.

Come register for the Fall Education Program through USU (Ute Tribal members, descendant and employees are eligible).

UNION HIGH SCHOOL TUTOR MENTOR will be having summer school session June 6th – June 30th, 2022 Monday through Thursday 8:00am – 12:00pm. located in the Media center lab.

PEES-CHEU DAYCARE Summer session application are now being accepted. Children 5-12 attending public school must have 2nd COVID vaccine before starting children will also need up to date immunizations. Limited slots available.
