NORTHERN UTE JULY SUNDANCE - JULY 23, 24, 25, 26, 2021.

Northern Ute Sundance Grounds East of Neola, Utah. Open to All Dancers and Singers. Will not be checking for vaccine cards, Only Temperature checks at the Main Gate for the public before entering the Sundance Grounds. This will ONLY be done on Sunday.

 

ONLY ONE MAIN ENTRANCE: Traffic will enter at the main Sundance gate, coming in and going out all sides gates will be blocked off.

 

SAFETY PLAN: Due to Social gathering protocol, remember to distance yourself 6 feet apart. All stands are filled. Feast will be Monday, July 26, 2021 at 5:00 pm. HUMAN RESOURCE:

Are no longer accepting applications for the tribal Summer Youth and WIOA programs. We had a great response this year and want to thank everyone for their interest.

IHS CLINIC:

THE PFIZER COVID VACCINTATION WILL CONTINUE TO BE GIVEN AT THE U&O IHS WELLNESS CENTER ON WEDNESDAYS FROM 2 to 4 PM AND PATIENTS NEED TO CALL TO BE PLACED ON A VACCINATION CLINIC LIST. 

Call 435-725-6815 to be placed on the Wellness Center Vaccination Clinic list.

The Moderna vaccine is being offered in the clinic during regular clinic appointments.  

- Diabetes Clinic at the IHS Wellness Center for a Diabetic Appointment Please Call 435-725-6890 Leave your name and phone number. The U&O IHS Diabetes Program has recently become a Nationally Accredited Diabetic Education Center.

 

- Mobile Mammography Screening July 20, 21, 22, 2021. To reserve your appt for Monday, Wednesday, or Friday call 435-725-6815 or on Thursday call 435-725-6890

 

- Drive through COVID testing is still being provided daily by appointment only at the U&O IHS Clinic.

 

UTE INDIAN TRIBE LIHEAP:

The LIHEAP program is still taking applications through the summer months for applicants whom have not received assistance.  If you have already received an award for the winter months you may still be eligible for assistance through for one time payment through the American Rescue Plan Act.

To be eligible for cooling assistance you need to:

  • fill out a new LIHEAP application
  • bring in your ID, social security cards for every one in household including yourself
  • verification of income if any (2 paycheck stubs)
  • if any children in household under the age of 5 years old will need show birth certificate
  • verification on Foodstamps, Commodity Program, Social Security, Supplemental Security income (SSI), etc.

Applications can be picked up in the front of the Tribal Office building or on the website at www.Utetribe.com under departments.Any questions you may call Lora Garcia, LIHEAP Coordinator at (435) 725-4878.

 

UIT WATER SYSTEMS:

All Ute Tribe water users please contact the Water department to update your telephone contact information. They are in the process of implementing an “Emergency Alert Notification System” as a means of sending out critical information regarding water notifications.

To update your information call Spring at 435.725.7088 or Jenna at 435.725.4922.

Also, please be reminded that we are on culinary water restriction (this has no bearing on irrigation or surface water). Absolutely no watering of lawns or operating of sprinklers should be occurring during daytime hours. Penalties will be implemented.

UINTAH RIVER HIGH SCHOOL:

2021-2022 URHS Orientation Dates. Monday August 16, 2021. Located in the URHS Commons Area.

  • 10:00 am – Freshman Orientation
  • 11:00 am – Sophomore Orientation
  • 12:00 pm – Junior Orientation
  • 1:00 pm – Senior Orientation

Will be holding a field day for anyone interested in getting their online hunter education completed. UIT FISH AND WILDLIFE PARKS:

Appliance Round up UIT Fish and Wildlife Parks will be going around helping elders and those who need assistance removing old appliance, washers, dryers, fridges etc. We will need your contact information, location and what is needing to be picked up. If you would like to drop your appliances off the Bottle Hollow Marina will be opened Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Contact Fish & Wildlife Parks at (435-722-5511)

 

UIT HEAD START:

Registration Day July 20 & 27, 2021. 8:00am – 4:30pm Located at the Head Start Learning Center staff will help assist with filing out applications and answering any questions.

UTE LAND TRUST:

PAINTED HORSE DIABETES PREVENTION PROGRAM:

Only those that have been fully vaccinated will be allowed in the gym.  You will need to fill out a form and a Painted Horse staff member has to sign off that they have seen your vaccine card.  Please do not send us a copy of your card but you can show us a copy from your phone.  Everyone will need to go through equipment orientation with Jenny or Vodne so you know how to use the equipment properly.
