EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

As of Today, November 17, 2020 there are 61 active cases on the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation. If you have left the area for any reason or were in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 we ask you to self-isolate for 14 days before getting tested for COVID-19. These are the new CDC guidelines that were modified on October 27, 2020. Please continue to wash and sanitize your hands, social distance in public settings, and wear a mask where social distancing is unable to maintain. Ute Tribal Offices are still on soft closure due to unforeseen circumstances, only essential employees are allowed in the building, please call the Tribal Office for assistance. Assistance forms are available in the foyer and if you need further assistance, please speak with security about your concerns and they will direct you accordingly.

IHS CLINIC

Drive – Thru Covid-19 Testing, Tuesday, Wednesday, 9AM-10AM. Also Thursdays 1:30 To 2:30 PM. It is recommended to make an appointment for COVID testing so the lab order can be made before you arrive. Location is the Ambulance Doors.

Drive – Thru Flu Shots, Monday & Friday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. No appointment needed for Flu Shots. Everyone should get a Flu Shot ASAP because when the COVID Shot comes out you will not be able to get them at the same time. Location is Wellness Center Parking Lot (JIWC)

Community Clinic: November 4th – Whiterocks. November 10th – Myton. November 18th – Randlett. November 24th – Fort Duchesne.

BUREAU OF INDIAN AFFAIRS

Invitation to Bid Agricultural Leases. Deadline for Submission: November 18, 2020 @ 4:30 p.m. Bid Opening Date & Time: November 19, 2020 @ 2 p.m. Place of Bid is at the Uintah & Ouray Agency in Fort Duchesne, UT. Per the CDC, Covid-19 Procedures social distancing is vital in reducing the spread of this virus. To limit direct contact between individual public access to the Agency is limited. NATURAL RESOURCE DEPARTMENT

At this time, the Natural Resource Department would like all tribal membership who required an Agriculture/Home site Assignment to please come into their office or call and provide a current mailing address and phone number. UTE TRIBE FISH AND WILDLIFE

I would like to remind all tribal members that the area past the Moon Water turnoff is closed to Bison Hunting for the rest of the season.  The Wild Horse Basin area and Chandler Canyon are also closed to Bison Hunting. Please see the Big Game Proclamation page 28 & 29, A. Bull Bison: 8. Area Closed to bison hunting: Chandler Canyon 9. Seasonal Closures and B. Cow Bison Hunting: 8. Area closed to bison hunting: Chandler Canyon 9. Seasonal Closures. In our efforts to keep the Bison on tribal land, we are giving them a safe area by reducing hunting pressure. Thank you for your help in respecting and protecting these areas.

UTE TRIBE TRANSIT

The transit department will not be running the normal scheduled routes until further notice. The transit is answering calls for Demand Response from 8:30am - 4:30pm. Please call a day prior to the date you will be needing a ride, to be put on their schedule. Please call (435-725-4924) (435-725-4984) or (435-823-8880) Motor Pool: Mechanic Uasilaa and Shop Technician Samuel Willie will be on new hours for all department vehicle repair. They will be at Motor Pool shop @ 8am to 6pm Monday – Thursday, and on call Friday – Sunday. If you need any maintenance on your assigned or department vehicle please call Motor Pool and schedule an appointment. You can also call 435-823-8880 for any assistance.

 

U.S. 40 PLEASANT VALLEY TO MYTON

October 31, 2020. Construction crews continue the resurfacing of U.S. 40 Pleasant Valley through Myton (Mileposts 103-106).

Schedule: Daytime roadway activities are scheduled to continue Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Pavement marking activities are scheduled to continue through early November also the project is scheduled to continue through as early as November 2020.

Traffic Information: One lane in each direction will remain open on U.S. 40 during the hours of 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. Early next week, motorist may encounter alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers during all other hours. Expect moderate travel delays. Please watch for large trucks entering and exiting the roadway. Area motorist, residents and businesses may experience an increase in noise, light, dust, vibration, construction personnel and vehicles in the area. For your safety and the safety of those working in the area, please reduce speed, stay alert and be prepared for changing lane configurations throughout the construction corridor. They thank you for your patience as they work to complete the project.

MAJOR FEATURE FILM CASTING

Is seeking a Ute Man for speaking role. Age 40-70, must be tall and thin, also comfortable riding a horse. Filming one day between October-December 2020 in northeastern Arizona. Pay rate: $1,000 per day. All auditions will be done through self-tapes and email. Submit Through Email: newmexicotalent@gmail.com in the Subject Line, write: Ute Casting. Include first & last name, Age or age range, Height, Phone number, City and State of residence, confirm that you are a member of the Ute Tribe, Attach two recent photos: one of face, one full length. Hay sales on Tuesday and Fridays Only. Average Weight is 3 Bales 1 Ton.

First Crop: $30.00

Second Crop: $45.00

Third Crop: $45.00

First Crop Grass: $30.00

Second Crop Grass: $45.00. Tribal Members are limited to 18 Bales = 7 Tons per Month.
