NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that Uintah School District will be holding its annual Impact Aid Meeting on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 in the media center at the Eagle View Elementary School from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. The Ute Indian Tribal officials and parents of children residing on Indian lands and all other parents of children attending Uintah School District schools are encouraged to attend.  The purpose of this meeting will be to review and receive recommendations for Impact Aid and the District’s educational programs. Parents are invited to make suggestions concerning the needs of their children and ways to assist their children in realizing the benefits to be derived from the educational programs in the Uintah School District. UIT EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

As of Today, October 6, 2020 there are 8 active cases on the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation. Hot Spots still include the Wasatch front, if you have left the area for medical or personal reasons we ask you to self-isolate for 5-7 days and get tested on the 8th day before re-entering society. Please take all precautions to protect yourself and loved ones, continue to wash and sanitize your hands, social distance in public settings, and wear a mask where social distancing is unable to maintain.

Flu Shots are available at the IHS Wellness Center, Drive Thru is available daily from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Thursday from 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

If you have not completed the 2020CENSUS, please stop by the Emergency Management office located at the old Tribal Court House for assistance or call 435-725-4901/4902 to complete the form over the phone.

Per the CDC, social distancing is vital in reducing the spread of this virus. To limit direct contact between individual public access to the Agency is limited. NATURAL RESOURCE DEPARTMENT

At this time, the Natural Resource Department would like all tribal membership who required an Agriculture/Home site Assignment to please come into our office or call and provide a current mailing address and phone number. UTE TRIBE TRANSIT

The transit department will not be running the normal scheduled routes until further notice. The transit is answering calls for Demand Response from 8:30am - 4:30pm. Motor Pool Starting October 1st 2020, the Motor Pool Mechanic Uasilaa M. Uasilaa and Shop Technician Samuel Willie will be on new hours for all department vehicle repair. They will be at Motor Pool shop @ 7:30am to 6pm Monday – Thursday, and on call on Friday – Sunday. If you need any maintenance on your assigned or department vehicle please call Motor Pool and schedule an appointment. You can also call 435-823-8880 for any assistance.

U.S 40; PLEASANT VALLEY TO MYTON

October 1, 2020. Construction crews continue the resurfacing of U.S 40 Pleasant Valley through Myton. The project will widen the westbound right turn lane and acceleration lane at 6250 south, and placing new guardrail. Daytime roadway activities are schedule to continue Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The project is scheduled to continue through late November 2020. Traffic one lane in each direction will remain open on U.S 40 during the hours of 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. motorist may encounter alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers during all other hours. Delays of up to 15 minutes are possible. Please watch for large trucks entering and exiting the roadway. Area motorists, residents and businesses may experience an increase in noise, light, dust, vibration, construction personnel and vehicles in the area. For your safety and the safety of those working in the area, please reduce speed, stay alert and be prepared for changing lane configurations throughout the construction corridor. Is seeking a Ute Man for speaking role. Age 40-70, tall and thin, must be comfortable riding a horse. Filming one day between October-December 2020 in northeastern Arizona. Pay rate: $1,000 per day.
