UPDATE FROM THE UTE TRIBE SENIOR’S PROGRAM

- Ute Tribe Senior Grant Meals & Grant Transportations for 2019-2020:

The Ute Senior Center meal service is a regular nutritional meal program that is beneficial for tribal member’s ages 55 years old & over whom live within the service area. Meal service is from 11:30 am, to 12:30 pm. Monday thru Thursday, except holidays or tribal events.

All Transportation has to be scheduled in advance with a correct cell or contact number.

- Ute Tribe /Senior Caregiver Support for 2019-2020: We will be offering classes or events in coordination with other tribal programs. Respite care for tribal seniors during these times at the Ute Senior Center from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday-Thursday. *REMINDER: The Ute Senior WINTER HEATING program applications or available for October 2019 to February 29, 2020.

Low Impact Aerobics for any age:

Come join us for this Free Class being held in the Whiterocks Community building 5:30 – 6:30 pm. Monday 2/3 Wednesday 2/5, Monday 2/10 Wednesday 2/12, Tuesday 2/18 Wednesday 2/ 19.

-Free Coffee for Seniors for the month of February at Kapeekan Coffee House…..

 

BUILDING REHAB

Now that winter is here a quick reminder: Do not plug heaters into safety power strips. This can cause a fire due to the load a space heater uses. Plug directly into a floor outlet. Space heaters and power strips are the #1 fire starters during the winter months.

 

UTE TRIBE PROSECUTION

Basic Law Class Schedule:

March 3, 2020. Richardson Subdivision Community – Pres. Kay Santio.

Class is set every first Tuesday of the month @ 5:00 pm, unless rescheduled. Also will be a potluck with drinks & dessert provided.

 

UTE LANGUAGE

Monday-Thursday 9 am - 4 pm Walk-in-times (individual & group) at Ute Language and Traditions office – CHR Building.

- Ute Language Class will be held every Tuesdays at the Whiterocks Community Bldg. 5-6 pm

-Thursdays 5-6 pm Randlett Community Building.

*Potluck every evening of our community events. Teacher: May Lee Mountain

Soccer League will end February 15th. Don’t forget we have soccer games every Saturday @ 9:00 am.

Jr. Jazz Basketball is kicking off with a parent meeting February 18th @ 5:30 pm at the ft. Duchesne gym.
