Up-Date from Shay Wopsock:

Shay is presenting a Food Testing Demo, at the Ute Plaza, Tuesday, November 27th , beginning at 11:45 to 1:00 pm.

UPDATE FROM UINTAH MIDDLE SCHOOL:

Uintah Middle School is looking for Native American dancers and royalty of all ages and categories to do a dance demonstration on November 30th at 1:00 pm.

We will have a rehearsal session today, November 27 immediately after school.

Everyone is welcome to join us as we demonstrate our culture here at the Middle school.

ANNOUCEMENT FROM UNION HIGH SCHOOL:

Parent/ teacher conference is schedule for Wednesday, November 28th , from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. held in the Common area.

Painted Horse Diabetes Center is having another Wreath Making Activity.

Monday, November 26th – Myton Community, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm

Tuesday, November 27th , – Whiterocks Community, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.

Wednesday, November 28th – , Fort Duchesne & Randlett Community, from 5:30 -7:30 pm.

Supplies will be provided but your more than welcome to bring your accents.

UP-COMING INFORMATION ON DIALYSIS:

Coping with Dialysis, you have an options!

Friday, December 14th , in the Tribal Auditorium, beginnings at 11:00 am.

Specialized nurses from University of Utah will be going over the following:

Dialysis Options,

Hemodialysis pro’s and con’s,

Peritoneal Pro’s and Con’s (in-home),

Nutrition,

Cause and Effects of both options.

FREE and OPEN to the public and dialysis patients. Bring your family and friends to learn you can help.

Light snack and water will be provided.

UP-COMING UTE YOUTH SUMMIT:

Ute Youth Summit is opened to any High School Student.

Youth Summit will be held Thursday, November 29th , from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Youth Summit will be held at the Randlett Community Building.

Students will be excused from school once they have checked in at the Youth Summit.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

There is a limited seating.

Following the Summit a community feast and powwow will be held at the Fort Duchesne Gym.

Feast at 6:00 pm, Grand Entry at 7:00 pm.

UPDATE FROM UTE TRIBE SENIOR CITIZEN PROGRAM:

Wednesday, November 28th –Holiday Craft project from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Tuesday, December 11th – Senior’s Christmas Luncheon.

Wednesday & Thursday, December 12th – 13th – Senior’s Winter Bazaar, from 9:00 am to 4:15 pm. There will be NO lunch served, on both days.

All vendors are welcome. For more information call 725-4286.

Senior Exercising program: Mondays & Wednesdays, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.

Winter Heating Program is still accepting application. Services are from October 2018 to February 2019.

UP-COMING MOTOR POOL EXCURSION:

Christmas Shopping Spree:

To Salt Lake City: 1 or 2 nights. The Shopping Buses will depart from Ute Plaza at 10:00 am.

Friday: December 7th, Saturday: December 8th , and Sunday, December 9th .

UPDATE FROM RED PINE RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT CENTER:

Red Pine Residential Center is now accepting applications for Alcohol and Drug Residential Treatment.

Red Pine is a residential alcohol and drug treatment program utilizing the cognitive behavioral model.

Current length of treatment stay is 65 days.

Red Pine RTC will be taking application until January 2nd , 2019.

Application Process: Pick-up your intake packet, fill out intake packet, Submit your completed packed to the Red Pine Coordinator.

Office Hours: Monday – Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

UP-COMING EVENT HOLIDAY CRAFT FAIR:

Holiday Craft Fair at Uintah River High School, on Friday, Dec. 14th & Saturday, Dec. 15th , from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm.

Booth space is limited. Arts & Crafts and Food Booth Fees: $50 per day or $75. For 2 days.

UIT YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE 2018:

Is now accepting application. Deadline for application: December 6th 2018.

AGES: Head start thru 4th grade.

The leagues for the other age groups will begin at a later date.

JOB ANNOUCEMENT FROM UTE INDIAN HOUSING AUTHORITY:

Temporary Workers needed for Rehabilitation work on UIHA Homes.

Housing is Seeking up to two workers: with carpentry skills to do rehabilitation work on homes currently under management. The homes are located in various communities through-out the Uintah & Ouray Reservation.

Must have a minimum of five years of work and carpentry experience, having certificate in building trades is helpful.

Closing date: Tuesday, December 4th , 2018. by 5:00 pm.

Interested applicants must submit job application at UIHA Office, Office hours: Monday-Thursday, from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Fridays from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon.
