NOTICE: FROM THE UTE TRIBE HOUSING DEPARTMENT:
Ute Housing will be closed Tuesday, January 9th thru the 11th . I will return to the office on Monday January 15th , 2018.
If there is any paper work that you would like to drop off, simply side them under the door, or drop it off in the Administration Office. Sorry for the inconvenience. Maxine Redfoot.

Due to the warm weather Ice Fishing at Bottle Hollow Reservoir is not recommended at this time, if you or any family members plan on fishing please use CAUTION.

INDIAN MINERAL OWNER QUESTIONS AND ANSWER SESSION:
Thursday, January 11, 2018. From 9:00 am to Noon. At the Ute Crossing Grill, in the Large Conference Room.
Representatives from various Federal Agencies responsible for managing trust minerals will be available to answer your mineral ownership and /or royalty questions regardless of where your allotment is located.

Invitation of Sealed Bids on Farms & Pasture Agricultural Lease.
Deadline for Submission: Tuesday, January 16th at 4:30 pm
Bid Opening date & Time: Wednesday, January 17th at 10:00 am.
Place of Bid: Multi-Purpose Room at University of Utah, 987 East Lagoon Street, Roosevelt, Ut.
All bids should be submitted on a U&O Bid form. The lease will be awarded to the highest bidder.
Submit one bid form per Item number.
Bids are to be enclosed in a SEALED BID for F&P Leases, Item # ______.
If mailing a bid, sealed bids are to be submitted to the Uintah & Ouray Agency, P.O. Box 130. Fort Duchesne, Utah, 84026 and must be received by deadline.
Any bids improperly marked or received after the deadline date will not be considered and will be rejected.
All bids will be opened by BIA Staff and in front of bidders who choose to attend.
Bids from individuals who are delinquent on any previous annual lease payments and /or O&M charges will not be considered and will be rejected.

UP-COMING FOOD HANDLER COURSE:
Food Handler Certification Course will be held Friday, January 26th , from 8:30 – 12:30 pm.
At Ute Crossing Grill Event Center.
Anyone who cooks, prepares or serves food on tribal lands at restaurants, cafes, stores, schools childcare facilities, or food stands. The public is also welcome.
This course is FREEE and will cover the essential food handling information and practices necessary to prevent foodborne illness. Food Handler’s Certificate Cards will be issued following successful completion of the training. The course will be presented by Lt. Adam Mannarino, Environmental Health Officer, Indian Health Service.
*NOTE: Participants must attend the entire training to be eligible to sit for the exam.

VENITA K. TAVENPONT LIBRARY : PRESENTING BATMAN MOVIE MARATHON:
Friday, January 12th , So we are celebrating the momentous event with a Batman Movie Marathon beginning with the 1943 first television series.
Movie will begin at 1:00 pm sharp! And continue into the evening. It is an all-day event. Everyone is welcomed, we’ll have Pizza, Popcorn, Activity Books.
Come dressed as your favorite Batman character!
The movie will be held in the Uintah River High School Commons Area.

Your locally-owned telecommunications company will sponsor an area students to attend the FRS Youth Tour. Students must be a high school student ages 16-17 at the time of the youth tour. FRS will not accept any students age 18 or over.
Gives students the opportunity to experience the nation’s capital and visit famous historical sites. Including the: Lincoln Memorial, the U.S. Capitol, Mount Vernon and Arlington National Cemetery.

Please be informed, the Motor Pool will be taking people to the 73rd Anniversary Iwo Jima Flag Raising Ceremony in Sacaton, Arizon. Thursday, February 22nd , 2018.
The big coach will be departing , Thursday, February, 22nd , around 10:00 am, from the Ute Plaza, and returning Monday, February 26th .
