UP-COMING UTE INDIAN TRIBE SUICIDE PREVENTION CONFERENCE:
Suicide prevention conference will be held at Ute Crossing Events Center, Thursday, September 14th . Registration: 8:00 – 9:00 am, Conference starts at 9:00 am – 4:30 pm. Lunch will be provided. Guest speakers: Beau Washington, Larry Cesspooch and Jeramie Tubbs.
Are you concerned about a family member or friend? Are they suicidal? Let them know “It’s okay to ask for help”,

Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the public about the potential for abuse in medications. HEALTH UPDATE: LIVING WELL WITH CHRONIC HEALTH CONDITIONS:
Uintah Basin Medical Center, is offering a FREE six-week course for people with any Chronic condition such as depression, hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, chronic pain, or asthma.
Classes held September 12 thru October 17th ,2017. Every Tuesday’s from 3:00 – 5:30 pm.
Classes will be held at Painted Horse Diabetes Prevention Program.
Program includes: Manage Symptoms, Use medication as directed, work with your health care team, set weekly goals, problem solve effectively, Handle difficult emotions, For ages 18 and over and No children please. Held at Painted Horse .

OCTOBER IS “BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH:
Breast Cancer Mammovan, will be here Monday, October 9th from 12 to 3:00 pm, and Tuesday, October 10th from 8 to 12 pm.
The Mammovan will be here at the Ute Tribal Office in the parking lot area.
Vouchers are available for women that meet the income guidelines. Most health insurance will pay for prevention screenings.
Lots of great health resources and Incentives will be available.

UTE TRIBE LLC ENTERPRISES UPDATE:
Celebrating 1st Year of Ute Bison, Saturday, September 16th , from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. At the Ute Plaza Supermarket, Everyone is welcome to come join us. We will be doing an introduction, followed by an Opening Prayer with few Recognitions. There will be a few activities and Bison samples!.
UPDATE FROM UTE INDIAN TRIBE LIHEAP PROGRAM:
The Heating program has come to an end for the fiscal year 2017. As it closes there are forty (40) Electirc Window Air Conditioners to be give to the first LIHEAP participants that come into the office to sign-up.
Please continue to pay your heating bill, the Winter months will be arriving quickly, keep your family warm and safe.

Physical Schedule: Children will be bused to the Head Start Administration Office.

UPDATES FROM PAINTED HORSE PROGRAM:
Friday, September 15th - Food Demo at Painted Horse: Pumpkin Veggie Burger. Get excited folks it might be hard to believe that this delicious little baby has pumpkin in it but it does and it’s taste so dang good! On September 15th at 9:30 am, at Painted Horse stop by and learn how to make this spicy yet flavorful dish! I’m telling you, don’t miss out on this and our pumpkin series running through the months of September –October where I will be teaching you how to make great dishes and awesome treats.
Here’s the dates for Food Demo’s: September 15th , September 29th , October 6th , and October 20th .
Saturday, September 16th – Super Hero Fun Run/Walk, at 10:00 am, starting at the Fort Duchesne gym to the Plaza and back to the gym. Run/Walk as your favorite super hero, so dress up and we hope to see you there! Light snack and water will be provided.
Sunday, September 24th – Glow Fun Run/Walk, at dusk at Painted Horse. Glow items will be provided, come and have fun with us.

Tuesday, September 26th – Ute Seniors will be having a Indoor Yard Sale, & Bake Sale. from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, at the Ute Senior Center.
Table/Chair will be provided for Ute Seniors who want to sell their new or semi-new used yard sale or bake sale items only (space is limited)

MOTOR POOL’S LAST GAMING EXCURSION TRIP TO LANDER/RIVERTON, WYOMING:
September 29-October 1st , 2017. For 2 nights of fun
The Fun Bus will departing from Ute Plaza at 10:00 am Friday, September 29th . Returning Sunday, October 1st .
Motor Pool has planned a trip to Lander/Riverton area at the end of the month. There is NO boarding fee and the places of stay are the Shoshone Rose Casino/ Riverton Casino. The prices have been reduced for the Northern Ute Nation bus group, and Hotel accommodation’s on your own. The trip is the last trip for FY 2017. So this planned trip is for those that would like to go for a joy ride, Sight see and try your luck at the casinos in this area. Please call Motor Pool to sign-up and have a room reserved.

UP-COMING UTE INDIAN TRIBE 2ND VEHICLE AUCTION:
2nd Vehicle Auction will Start: August 29th and end September 14th .
These vehicles can be seen Monday- Thursday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. at the compound located east of Home Building Rehab.
Vehicles will be sold as is! , Tribal members only!
Your sealed bid must include:
Money Order in the amount you wish to bid. Must surpass minimum bid. Make money order out to: Ute Indian Tribe.
With your name, address or telephone number and unit number (located on the drivers side window of vehicle) place unit number on the envelope.
Turn sealed bid into the Treasury Department.
OPTION: if you want to make down payment, you must submit half of your bid. You will have (2) months to pay remaining balance in full. If you decide you don’t want the vehicle, you will get your money order back and vehicle will go to the next bidder.

Ute Crossing Trading Post:
Some changes are made with Ute Crossing Trading Post, this includes new store hours. We have also decided to move Buying Days from every Thursday to once a month.
All purchases will be conducted at the Ute Tribal Enterprises Admin. Office.
Our next buying day is September 21st from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.
