Please be informed there will be NO Randlett Bus Route this week August 7th – 10th , 2017. The Randlett route will resume the normal bus route Monday, August 14th .

U&O MOSQUITO MONTORING UPDATE WEEK OF 7/31/17:
An update on Mosquito disease Monitoring on the Uintah & Ouray Reservation. There were 4 positive West Nile Mosquito Pools trapped the week of July 31st . The positive mosquito pools were tapped at Pelican Lake, Ouray National Bird Refuge, Yellowstone and Randlett.
Currently NO human cases of West Nile Virus have been reported in Utah. We will also continue to monitor and trap mosquito on the reservation throughout the mosquito season (May-September). We will also continue to educate residents on mosquito and bite prevention. We will update you as more information becomes available. Please let me know if you have any questions. IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM THE WILDLIFE BIOLOGIST:
This is to inform everyone that due to a delay in proclamations, the big game permits will NOT be given out Monday, August 7th , we are hoping to have everything ready to be distributed on Today, Tuesday, August 8th at 10:00 am.
Those people who were successful in the 2017 Big Game Draw have 8 working days from when they become available to pick up those permits. After 8 working days, they become available to the alternates.
Sorry for any inconvenience this delay has caused. We will update everyone with information as it is available.
IMPORTANT PUBLIC NOTICE: FROM TRIBAL WATER SYSTEM.
The Ute Tribe Water System apologizes for the delay in the Tribal curbside trash and dumpster pick-up this past week. We are experiencing a shortage of drivers for our trash trucks and ask for your patience and understanding until we can resume our regular schedule.
We have contracted with K&K Sanitation until August 20th , 2017. The K & K schedule to pick-up trash is as follows:
Monday: Myton area, Hilltop (south of Highway-40)
Tuesday: Fort Duchesne, Randlett, Pelican Lake, Arcadia
Thursday: Whiterocks, Whiterocks Road, Farm-creek, Yellowstone, Murrayville, Coon’s Subdivision, Richard’s Sub-Divison, La Point, Tridell, Gusher, Indian Bench (North of Highway 40)
Again, this will be until August 20th . After that date the Tribal trash collection will revert back to its original times and dates. If you have any further questions, please contact the Tribal Water System @ (435) 722-5176. Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

UPDATES FROM PAINTED HORSE PROGRAM:
Wednesday, August 9th , Back to School Splash, Bash: , from 10-2pm. at the Bottle Hollow Marina. We will have: Boats rides, Disney Frozen Slide, The Lost Jungle King Cobra Obstacle Course and much more. (Boat/jet ski rides will require liability waiver) Lunch will be provided. So come with the whole family for some fun at the lake.
Friday, August 11th - Cooking Demo: Roast Beet and Goat Cheese Timbale with Apple and Vinaigrette, at 10:00 am at Painted Horse Diabetes Program.
Friday, August 25th - Cooking Demo: Rataouille, beginning at 10:00 am at the Painted Horse Diabetes Program.

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM: Ute Indian Tribe Head Start and Tri-county Immunization Clinic:
Head Start children three and four year old needs to update their immunizations are strongly encouraged to attend. Parent or legal guardian will need to come in to sign paperwork. Tri-County Immunization Clinic Friday, August 18th , at 9:00 am – 12:30 pm. Clinic will be held at the Head Start Administration Office in Fort Duchesne. Please bring with Medicaid, or Private Insurance cards., Tribal Identification card, or Certificated of Indian Blood (CIB) paperwork, Immunization fees are based on income, if family does not have Medical Insurance, please call 725-4871, or 823-1793 if you have questions about this immunization clinic.
UTE TRIBE SENIOR NEWS:
August 6-10th – Shoshone Language Reunion Conference, in Fort Hall, Idaho.
August 18-21st – 2nd Northern Ute Sundance, East of Neola.
August 21st – No Lunch served, due to the Sundance Feast.
Monday’s & Wednesday’s – Senior Exercise, at 11:30 am
Senior Meals Service for 55 yrs. & Over:
Meal Service at the Ute Senior Center is from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Monday thru Thursday, except on Holidays/Tribal Events.
Home Deliver Meals: for 55 yrs & Over:
This service is for those whom cannot leave their home due to illness, please call if you are not going to home due to appointment, so we won’t deliver your meal.
Ute Tribe Senior Title VI Transportation for 55 yrs & over:
All those needing transportation must call ahead to schedule times from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm., Monday thru Thursday. Except on Holidays/Tribal events.
For all medical transportation: please contact, the CHR office for assistance.
For all other assistances:
Ute Water Systems: for Water Problems call 722-5176
Ute Bldg. Rehab: For all chore maintenances, grass cut, trash, ets. And some appliances, call 722-1255.
Ute Maintenance: for home problems and all electrical problems, call 722-2256.
REMINDER: Once again, this program no longer handles Maintenance related issues/problems contact one of the above programs or call Administration. We haven’t has a Senior maintenance crew available here at all since October 1st , 2014 to the present 2017.
Winter Heating Program:
The Ute Senior Heating Program (Resolution 98-247): pays for Winter Heating costs only from October to February, Currently we are out of Funds until this coming October 2017.
