COME AND LEARN ABOUT QUILL WORK:

Quill Work Classes, Everyone is welcome to come and learn how to make your own Quill work jewelry.

Advanced Classes will start: July , 12th ,14th , 17th , 19th & 20th , 2017.

Classes have been moved to the Fish & Wildlife building downstairs, not at Painted Horse and will start at 5-7pm. Please park around the back and enter through the back door, Signs will be posted to follow in the building. All supplies will be provided as well as a light snack and refreshments.

Everyone is welcome, so bring your family and friends!!!.

UP-DATE FROM THE PEES-CHEU DAYCARE:

The Pees-Cheu Daycare is seeking donations for our two Summer child Care Classrooms (located at Lil’ Mesa Head Start). Is in need of the following items:

Assorted Toys, Cars, Dolls, Blocks, etc. (No stuffed animals) and Children’s Books.

Age groups: Lil’ Hawks – 4-6 years old, and Lil’ Ute’s – ages 7-12.

UPDATE FROM THE UTE TRIBE SENIOR CITIZEN PROGRAM FOR THE SUMMER & HOLIDAY:

Just a reminder to all Care Givers during the summer months, these are some safety tips for our Elders.

The extreme Heat and Health for Elders, and Children

Check on the elderly they are more sensitive to high temperatures

Please stay hydrated-drink plenty of water

Wear light weight, breathable and lightly colored clothing

Apply and reapply Sunscreen often.

Check on others-young children and elderly are more at risk from extreme heat and illnesses.

Please check on those in most need of assistances during extreme heat.Please do not leave children and elderly unattended in vehicles.

UP DATE FROM PAINTED HORSE PROGRAM:

Mondays and Wednesdays are Elder’s Workouts at the Senior Center at 11:00 am

Tuesday, and Thursday, Zumba at the Head Start starting at 5:00 pm.

Toning Work-out Classes, (light weight to heavy weight training) Wednesday’s from 5-6:00 pm. held at the Head Start building.

June 30, 2017. “Yoga by the Lake” , Come and join us for relaxing Yoga sessions at the Bottle Hollow Lake Marina (on the grass) from 8-9:00 pm.

Yoga by the lake, Will continue thru the month of July.

Living Well with Diabetes Course, Every Thursdays from 3:00 -5:30 pm. Held at the Uintah River High School. A FREE six-week course for people with Type 1, or Type 2 Diabetes and friends or family of people with Diabetes. INTERTRIBAL BUFFALO COUNCIL

Frist Annual Inter Tribal Buffalo Council Scholarship Jamie Cuch a scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to a tribal student’s college of choice and presented by ITBC. The selected individual will also be invited to the 2017 Annual Membership Meeting in November. The deadline for submission is August 1st 2017. Please see the attached documents that show what the criteria and process is to apply for scholarship. Also attached are a list of the ITBC Member Tribes, in order to apply the applicant must be an enrolled member of an ITBC member Tribe.
